Batch Conversion HPGL2 to PDF

When converting hpgl2 (.plt) files to pdf with the lineweights option selected the resulting files do not have lineweight. Having lineweight is important to us. Is there any way of correcting this? I have tried printing to pdf but this looks difficult to automate and we are dealing with thousands of plot files. We are using ABViewer 6.2.0.60 Enterprise version.

Is there a way of turning on the lineweights, doing this a different way or perhaps downloading an earlier version of ABViewer?
