I've been doing CAD work from around 1978. There's always a need to convert file types from what pieces and parts are available to what is needed for the CAD program(s) I've worked with. I've used one of CAD programs as my 2D and 3D drawing program it has been plenty powerful for my needs and most importantly affordable. It will import some AutoCAD .dwg and .dxf and a few of the other flavors of the day. My major headache has been that the "Free" online converters are not always Free, and in many cases cannot convert the files to ones that my CAD program can successfully import. So in my search for the best File Converter I came across ABViewer 15.
I've only used the trial version to date, but I'm about to spring for the Enterprise Version. My original test was on my latest project to build an exact scale Radio Control model of a WW-II P-51D. I needed to convert some X_B files I've found to .DXF or .DWG. ABViewer 15 worked like a charm on all 3 files I tried. After my success with the X_B files and some other 3D file types, I noticed that ABViewer 15 could translate 2D PDF drawings to DXF and DWG.
This conversion has always presented me a problem that cost many hours of work. My CAD program can take a PDF in as an image, but the "Tracing" routine it has is worthless, so I've always had to hand trace the lines all the while zooming in and out to get accurate placement. ABViewer has done 3 conversions for me now making them DWG's in like 20 seconds! So with a few minutes effort I have files saved in the format I need to work with. The only problem I've had is that some vector texts have been miss-sized or misinterpreted, but 90% of the text I'm not going to use anyway.
This picture is two screen prints, the top one is the converted file from ABViewer 15 and the lower one is the original PDF. Looking closely the PDF actually seems clearer, but in reality the converted file is a vector file and so all of the lines are whatever width I choose to set them to and as I scale the view up they stay un-pixilated.
I look forward to many hours of use and hundreds of hours saved using ABViewer 15. As I delve into its' different options I already see where I can stop using several other programs for viewing files before I import them. The ability to view a DXF or an STL just to find out what it is will be a great boon to my research on this project and others to follow. As such I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ABViewer 15 to anyone needing to view multiple file types and especially to convert between the different file types and programs.

ABViewer is perfect software for people, who receive DWG and DXF plans from design or architecture bureaus. It easily allows viewing and printing files. It’s an excellent tool to inspect files without being obliged to purchase a high-priced license, which is not justified in case of occasional use.
It’s definitely a product to recommend.

I happen across ABViewer while searching for a PDF to DWG converter. I found ABViewer conversion more detail & accurate compared to those avail online regardless free or paid in terms of usage. Ease of usage & accurate conversion greatly helps me in my work.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a comprehensive & ease of use PDF to DWG converter.

I needed to convert a PDF file to DWG format (a house plan). I called upon the company and they helped very quickly. After conversion I was able to open the file with the online app and was glad to see that the texts in Latvian had remained the same. I would like to express my gratitude to the developers and personally to Andrey Lukashevich.

ABViewer is fast and accurate software. Although my needs are only for PDF to CAD conversion, after downloading ABViewer and installing it, I found it to be powerful that I rediscovered many useful features.

KPIrag works with many clients providing a sensor solution with a propriety dashboard. The floor plans used on the dashboard require editing, cleaning up, and processing of data attached to the polylines. In the past, this process required three different systems to provide the final layout. The team at ABViewer helped streamline this process; now all the work can be carried out in ABViewer. This customisation has significantly reduced the time and complexity of the process. Working with the ABViewer development team was very easy and straightforward.
